Virginia & Kevin’s wedding on family property was a truly stunning event (I know, I stalked their photographer’s blog and you should too!
I was so pleased to be able to work with this family and their incredible planner Terry Kaye to create truly special invitations. We began with a pencil sketch they had of the house on this property. We digitized it and incorporated it onto this causal-yet-formal design that featured a navy blue backing layer.
A beautiful lofty paper letterpressed so well with black ink.
We then used another piece of art the family owned, a watercolor image of the barn and house, as the lining to the envelope. It worked great in a kraft colored envelope and with the navy backing, all the colors tied in beautifully.
Helping to tie the colors together one more time was a navy response envelope printed in white ink.
But the finishing touch might be my favorite…twine wrapped around the invites with a wooden tag. No really, we can print on wood!!
What Virginia had to say:
“I cannot say enough wonderful things about Kelly at Staccato. She created beautiful custom invitations for our at-home farm wedding using sketches and photos that we previously owned….The final invitations were absolutely stunning.”
